The company resumed operations on Monday 4 January 2021 and looks forward to working with you as you continue meeting your health and safety requirements.

The managing director of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says training has resumed already. “We have taken proactive steps to manage the second wave South Africa is currently battling as much as possible. All trainers undertook a COVID-19 test as soon as the company opened and were only booked for training once their negative test results were received.

“As soon as lockdown level five started in South Africa last year, MasterDrive developed strict protocols based on international and local best practice to protect clients and trainers from transmission as far as possible once operations resumed under level four. We are proud to say that none of the trainers contracted the virus during this time and MasterDrive is confident that these protocols will continue to serve us well as we continue operations during the second wave.”

Additional measures are now in place as the second wave continues to grow in strength. “None of the trainers use public transport to make their way to work. MasterDrive has made arrangements for the trainers to be transported to work in private vehicles. The nature of public transport makes it a high-risk activity and we have decided to remove the exposure that could occur here.

“The use of vitamins and immune support is also emphasised at MasterDrive. While we know that it is not a cure, we do appreciate the role of these items in helping develop healthy and strong immune systems and the trainers are encouraged to make use of these wherever possible.”

During the lockdown in 2020, MasterDrive was still able to successfully conduct almost 8 000 training sessions. “We look forward to continuing this, while doing what we can to protect employees and clients and conduct business safely and responsibly. As we enter a difficult start to the year, we look forward to working with your business in this manner to ensure that safety is prioritised in all spheres,” says Herbert.
